Nikon 70-300VR?

I'm looking to buy a Nikon 70-300VR AF Lens to complement my D80

I already have the Nikon 18-55VR and the Sigma 18-200VR.

Prices seem to be going a bit mad at the moment, any one have any ideas where I can get a good deal, I know someone was selling one on here a while back, but dont know whether it ever got 'snapped' up [excuse the pun]

Mate over in NI can get one for £299, over here they seem to be round £370.:S

dollar vs pound it seems and also the fact that Nikon have had two across the board increases since 1st Jan this year.

15% iirc.

Thanks for the info Ben, do you reckon they'll come back down or is it just a matter of if I want one, I'm going to have to pay the latest prices?

It wont be coming down anytime soon, try and pick one up 2nd hand would be your best bet.
