I had 4 new tyres fitted today, and had them filled with nitrogen.
Anyone else running tyres filled with nitrogen instead of air??

1. Nitrogen molecules bigger than oxygen molecules so seeps out more slowly
2. Nitrogen resists heat buildup better than air which contains moisture
3. Nitrogen reduces oxidation that can damage tire from inside out
4. Nitrogen is inert gas so no safety or environmental issues

+1 if you dont want leaks request sealant when your tyres are changedAir is made up of around 75% nitrogen
You should notice when you get heat in them
Demon tweeks filled my tyres up with Nitrogen before,
useful IMO as I didn't have to touch the tyre pressures for ages.
how's that? (genuinely interested)
i though one of the benefits was that you didn't get pressure variation as the temps rise/fall
well i say differentlyWon't notice a difference. We used it when racing.
exactly. due to the pressures not changing when the tyres heat up they will remain at the optimum pressure therefore increase handling
