No air blowing from air vents

Hi all

Just discovered no air is coming out of my air vents

Have tried warm/cold... 1, 2, 3, 4

Have played around with the settings, etc still no luck


Any idea on why it's not working?

Anyone know if kwik fit/fast fit etc places like this would be able to fix it? Hoping to go tomorrow morning (sat)
My regular mechanic that ive used for years has closed down!

I use my car to commute to work in the week so can't take it to a garage on weekdays.....

BTW When you say resistor pack, do you mean Blower motor????

have you checked the fuses? as i'm sure i've read that the blower should work on max even if the resister pack is shafted

This is the same with my mates, no air at all although it does heat up and clears the windows, just takes a while.

BTW resistor pack = blower motor

or is that something else?

mines been knackerd for say 2years now, sometimes when its freezing outside it will turn on like magic, then itl just die out,

Rheostat, £90 from Renault I think.

Ive had to replace mine twice in 3 years

I'm gona bite the bullet and get a blower motor... if i can find one from a breakers yard!

no the resistor pack is used for speed control of the blower motor

if the motor spins freely then i doubt it's the motor

How would i check if the motor spins freely mate?

BTW whilst driving a tiny amount of air decides to come out of the vents then dies again.
??

Also, is a rheostat different from the resistor pack?
