No control over fan speed etc on climate control

I noticed last night that the blowers appear to be at a constant speed no matter what buttons I press on the climate control. It also blows even when I switch it to being "off". :S

Any ideas? Could it be the cold weather has affected the electrics somehow? I think the only buttons that seem to have any effect are the temp ones.

Anyone? I guess this is the heater resistor pack or whatever it's called? £120 = daylight robbery!
