No Outside Temp reading

Hi can anyone help i dont seem to have a display for temp reading outside the time is there
i have different stereo in so was wandering maybe if that was the cause? 2001 1.4 16V

I posted the same thread as mine doesnt display anything. Someone said the sensor is in the passenger wing mirror, so swap that with someone to see if your sensor is faulty.

I've only ever seen a false reading as a way if determining a faulty sensor.
Never seen one just go blank.

Not all non-sports have temperature sensors? You mention you have a different stereo in (although this shouldn't make any difference), did you ever have the original stereo in and if so did you have a temperature reading then?

Mine was playing up, was reading 40 degrees outside
When it gets to 60degrees it stops displaying a reading

New sensor and im back at tidy temperatures
