How old is the unit? it must have a remote be strange if it didnt. It will be a blue wire. Check your manual. ;) that will be your best bet.

That will be it. Its on the block where all the power leads are. Should be a red, yellow, black, blue and i think and orange cable going into that block. the Blue is your remote. Did you take the iso block into halfords when you when in to ask?

Sorry, think i mis under stood you eailer. yes the unit will still turn off when you turn the car off. I thought that u where scared if you cut the blue lead that it would turn the unit off. lol my bad.
No it will deffently will still turn off. the only way that that would happen is if you put ur live and ignition together to give the unit constant power...which your not doing.
the blue cable is just a cable that will send a small current though to tell the amp/ electric ariels etc and stuff that th headunit is turned on and that they also need to be on.

could be lol, since im not going to have a fast car with it being a 1.2 im thinking if getting some good music but back into it,

if the blue wire is going into the iso block, i wouldn't cut it. which is the iso block u are talking about, does it come from the stereo and that plugs into the renenault iso block ? or do u mean the one u plug into the stereo ? put a cable connector on it, not cut it.

i have fitted a fiew systems before but hu always had seperate remote leads, also the wire goes from the hu into the block,

its the wire from the back of the stereo to the renault one, hes not cutting the loom only the ones for the stereo, chances are youll take that with you when you sell
