No reverse lights

I noticed last night that I don't have any reverse lights in my 172. Bulbs are there and they're both ok, any ideas what would be causing this?

Reverse sensor on the gearbox has gone, same with my cup. Bit fiddly to do and you'll loose some gearbox oil when changing it, so you'll need to get some to top it up once done.

Personally I haven't bother fixing mine, not an mot failure so saves me a job. Lol

Haha, aye id just like to have them working seeing as i nearly crashed into my own car the other day when my brother reversed it on the driveway! :/

How do I go about changing it?

Take off the pass wheel and have a gander at the side of the gearbox, you'll see a green sensor, thats the fella

Would you still lose box oil if you jacked the passenger side up as high as possible? I wouldn't have thought you would.
