no throttle response

  1.2 16v clio
so i had/have the problem when the car has no response through the peddle when i do try the car just dips in revs but if i keep on rolling foward or sit for a couple of seconds it is fine again

this problem is becoming a big headache and if i didn't enjoy my little car soo much i would have scrapped it by now!

ive cleaned the throttle body
replaced the crank shaft sensor
the car was serviced in april
coilpack was replaced 2 years ago and the car is not miss firing
been taken to a garage and been put on the diagnostic machine and no faults found
no engine light on either

does anyone know what may be causing this problem as i hate the fact this randomly happens when i pull off

also since i replaced the crank shaft sensor 2 weeks ago it hasn't done it until today and it has done it 3 times

bump the car is still doing this and its driving me mad i tried videoing it but it never happened until i turned it off the car then stalled

tbh it sound like you have an intermittent connection or short that is bought on when the engine is accelerating (and thus probably being tilted backwards)?

normally happens when its hot out and when im pulling off no lights are coming up when it happens also the engine seems to not be misfiring

Good summation tbh

Tried the connections to your throttle pedal? Could be a partly broken wire or a bad earth connection....

i checked if its correctly and it was it does seem to be more fuel related though since there is no miss fire when it occurs it just seems to have no power atall and if i leave it fix its self whilst coasting i watch the revs drop down to almost 0 and back up to idle at 500 were it has been since its been in the family

Hmmm.... Fuel levels reading correctly?

If it was something like injectors I believe it would cause a misfire.... Have you tested each injector individually?

Possible knackered fuel pump?

that would make sense then, a misfire wouldn't occur if a connection was broken fully for the given period; the engine would just die completely until the connection is remade, and then it will work as nothing ever happened. provided the engine rev's stay above 500/600 rpm, the engine would start by itself.

Have you tried wiggling all the connector/loom sections whilst the engine is running?

the revs drop down to 0 and stall out but if they just stay above and i do nothing it will fix its self

im hoping its not the fuel pump as they can be quite expensive but i was told if the pump gets hot apparently it can cut its sell off causing this problem

i will try the wiring tomorrow after work
