Noco jump pack charging issues?

I’ve got a Noco junp pack and it’s great at jump starting cars. Went to use the USB charger on it last night to charge mine and the wife’s phones as the little shepherd's hut we are staying in doesn’t have mains power.
I checked that it worked before we left and it was charging my phone via the USB-C on the in/out port fine. So I topped up the battery and chucked it in my bag. But came to use it and it wouldn’t charge on the USB-C port but would on the USB-A one. Was doing that for about an hour and then I thought one last go and as the power had dropped it worked and was charging on both ports.
Got up this morning and my phone on the USB-A port was at 100% and the wife’s phone was flat on the USB-C port. Great, that was my fault obviously 🙄
Swapped her phone to the USB-A side and it was charging but like it has drained the unit to no battery within an hour.

That doesn’t seem right to me? Unless these packs aren’t meant for charging like that and just good at jump starting cars.
