noise from rear of vehicle

have a 2002 clio 172 21,000 miles, have noticed recently a droning noise from rear of vehicle, think it may be wheel bearing, has anyone else had similar problem, advice needed, what will it cost to fix etc regards tross uk

Drone normally does = wheelbearing. This will means a new rear disc as the bearings are pressed into them. You may as well change the other side and the pads at the same time.

i had two sets of rear bearings on my 172 never changed the discs , if the car is under waranty take it to renault , if not go to a local garage , your probably looking at £100-£150 to have both rear bearings done .

Strange, they come in the discs and from speaking to alot of people Renault dealers dont tend to have the equipment to press the bearings out anyway. I can only assume that your dealer did and if it was under warranty they will probably only be allowed to change the part thats at fault hence the bearing but not the disc.
