noisey differential

the issue was diagnosed by a mechanic, but i think that he was trying to fob me off, after failing to diagnose the real problem. its because if the diff had gone the noise wouldnt disappear when the car was in neutral and the engine had been turned off. but in my case the noise remains, i think that its either a front off side wheel bearing, or the drive shaft, i will go to a specialist renault mechanic 2moro.

yeah true, i will get a second opinion 2moro.

btw, i previously owned a vw polo gti the diff/gearbox on that went, and it didnt sound anything like this...lol

someone told me the diff went in my box or was on its way out. but then specialist gearbox places told me it wasnt.
it ended up being a CV joint being knackered the first time and the second was a loose nut on the wishbone making it knock.
dont ask me why, i havent got a clue about mechanics.
i had the diff go in my 106 rallye and it was HARSH.
