Noisy annoying exhaust

So I have a clio 182 and it has a scorpion cat back system.
Its quite noisy as I have to have the back seats down which really adds to the noise.
Ideally I would swap the back box but its not a cheap option.
i was wondering if anyone has put any soundproofing in the boot and it made a noticeable difference.

Why don't you just fold the back seats back up?

They have to stay down otherwise the dog cage hits the rear window and I can't shut the boot.
