Yes it should be, but thats what the mods are for (again)

I'm sure there's a sticky in the Tech chat about unlocking or updating software.

Symbian phone so can only be done by the operator its locked to. No other way around bit of a b*****d really.

as above. ring the original provider up and it will cost about £10-£15

yep ring your network operator, cost me £17 to unlock my n70, takes about a week to send you unlocking code by post or get it by email which i did less than 3 days for that.
