hello all,

contmeplating buying a 172 and the one Im interested in is a non-uk car. Are there any menchanical differences between the French spec ones and the UK spec ones?

AS long as its an EU import it will be UK spec....but probably wont have an alarm or boot net........oh and they are ALL French!! lol!!;)

Why would an import not have a boot net? LOL Its part of the spec of the car just like mats. My 172 had one.

Its the alarm, locking wheel nuts and window etching it wont have unless they have been added at a later date.

Its easy if you let the person know that it is one. I had no problem off loading mine at Renault Birmingham. They gave me around £1k less than I would have got if it had been a UK dealer supplied car, but then I saved well over £2k when I purchased is.

no locking nuts either, all come from the same factory in France aswell so they are all non-uk in a way.
