Normal CRT + console such as 360?

Buying a 360 soon but not upgrading my monitor for another month or so after that.

So would be running it on a 19" crt for the time bieng. Would i get black lines on the top and bottom since its not widescreen? (like in a widescreen movie?)

Possibly yeah you'll get black lines, Ive not tried playing movies on the monitor but Ive tested mine on a 21" CRT and got max resolution and it looked stunning, it should upscale normal DVD's tho

on the 360 you can choose 4:3 or 16:9 so it will be ok if you choose 4:3 ratio.

my 50" plasma's got loads of options for screen setting 4:3, 16:9 zoom, original etc etc never bothered trying it on the CRT tho
