Not FAO Jeremy T anymore

I've taken my Cup into a dealers to have the strut mount modification work done on it but after 8 hours at the dealers they have now decided it's no longer covered by the warranty.

They openly admit there is a technical note and that it's a common problem but they refuse to carry out the work.

Can you advise me on what action to take as clearly I'm less than happy that other people have had their's fixed and I'm told "yes it is the same problem but we won't rectify it under warranty"

Griff have you called RUK Customer Services. I did this with my Cup and they were very good at sorting my local dealership out.

JT won't be able to help, the only way to deal with these things is to call Renault Customer Services. They sorted out any issues I had recently and compensated me. They are getting the hang of it now. lol

Anyway Steve was very helpful and is going to speak to the dealers and see what he can do.

I wouldn't mind but the cars only done 12,000 miles in nearly 3 years so it's hardly like I've abused the suspension.

It's a fault from the factory anyway. It's not something you will have done to it.

I had the work done on both my 172 and 182.

The car was supplied with the wrong lockin wheel nut from new..... A.Clark and renault washed there hands of it. so a letter to renault and julia rang up to offer to sort it, to little to late as it was stolen 3 days prior. lol.

theres set rules for warrenty work at renault dealerships, if the car is still within 3year old and under a certain mileage then we normally have to see if its covered, if it isnt and the work is carried out, then renault refuse to pay for it, the dealership then has to stand the cost, which is why its always best to contact renault UK, normally at our dealership we will contact renault UK if something is out of warrenty as long as not excessive mileage or age! ie me trying to get renault to pay for a new engine on my williams lol!!!!! dont work lol also not all work is covered on 3 year warrenty, some things are 12month etc

infact EVERY clio has the same top mounts, williams, 16v, 1.2, 1.4 RS etc etc all identical

Its like my Cup had creaking suspension when reversing, nothing whatsoever when going forward, but reversing into my drive it creaked like God knows! Took it to William A Lewis in Telford, and they replaced it, just took a day to order in. The warranty is pretty much 3 years, or 60K whichever is soonest but don't know what it does and doesn't cover.
