1.6 Astra Sporthatch
Okay so basically, when I change down into first/second the box feels like its quite hard to put into gear? If the speed then drops lower, it'll go in fine.
A good example is coming to a roundabout, slow down to a suitable speed and go to put it into second and the gear stick wont go into gear unless you give it a really hard shove or slow down slightly, then it'll slot right in.
Only happened recently, now I think it could be happening since I had the belts changed, but i'm not sure as I assume id have noticed it immediately driving away, not a few days after?
Tried doing an oil change to 75w90 castrol oil, and it was alot notchier than before, so I changed again to the Renault standard 75w80 ELF oil and it went back to how it was, slightly notchy but not too bad.
Stuck for ideas on where to go next really, part of me thinks its only happened since the belts were changed but I have no experience changing belts so I don't really know if this is possible.
Thanks guys
