Number Plate Bulb

Hello

My rear number plate bulb stopped working, so I took the bulb out and tried putting it in again after trying to clean the bulb holder.

Now it just blows the 10A fuse?

Its not the standard bulb as I bought a white LED bulb so shall I try the standard bulb or is it a case of new holder or can I clean it up?

The bulb holder and the wiring/plug always corrodes away, you can get a new holder on ebay for about a tenner

Strangely enough I just tried it with the original bulb and (so far) it seems to be ok.

Could it be possible that my bulb I purchased from ebay is causing it to blow? Link below:
