Number Plates

First off sorry if this is the wrong section. I have recently seen a few cars around Bristol with Black/silver plates on them, was just wondering if anyone knows the legality of these and also where they can be bought from, as i have been looking for something a little different for a personal plate.

Black/silver plates are only legal on cars registered before 1973. iirc.

ILLEGAL and up to £120 fine, imo not worth it! only cars registered before 1973 can use these plates

had my 3/4 one now for 7months and its been fine others have had larger ones and been pulled within days seems to be abit of a lottery

ok cause i have seen them on a bmw 840 up the road from me which i am pretty sure is N reg, was hoping there might be a loophole cause would look nice on my black 182

I was resurching about this before mate, only pre 1973 cars. Look cool, but not worth the fine! .

Get them + velcro pads so you can swap them over for photo's

ive noticed this and i thought they were the show plates, but i later found it the ones i saw were guernsey registered cars over here
