Nuts!!(FAO MarkCup & Anyone else)

  Glacier White 197 Cup
I use my standard 172 wheels nuts on my turinis. Now I have purchased some Phase 2 valver alloys 15's. I can use the same nuts can't I? They wont be too short or too long will they? I had a go at fixing them on and they seemed fine but i didn't dive it anywhere. Wanna make sure they are alright as I will be flying round a track with them on in a couple of weeks. Cheers

They'll be fine. I've never had any problems with them fitting ok.

2 things to be aware of though;

If you paint the wheels, don't paint where the bolts seat - sounds obvious, but I didn't and lost one bolt and almost the wheel as well around Goodwood once.

Don't use your locking wheel nut on the valaver alloys, get 4 standard bolts and use them when you swap for trackdays. On a Turini the bolt heads are set inside a recess, which helps keep the wheel-nut key where it should be. On the valver wheels, there's no recess. I managed to do this when the key twisted off the end on one trackday...

Cheers for your quick response!I was going to use my locking wheel nuts but i have extra normal nuts aswell so i will put them on. The wheels have already been painted where the nut sits i think.I will have a look when i get home.(They had been painted before i got them) What shall i do about this if they are painted. Sand the paint off? cheers

have posted this question before but didntt get a response.

basically on my 172 ive discovered i have a missing wheel bolt, a locking bolt.

what id like to no is what type of bolt, and legth i should be using with turini's. i went round with a torque set at 100nm and all the normal bolts clicked off straight away, where as the 3 remaining locking bolts all seemed half a turn loose?

if someone could give me a link so a set a locking bolts that are correct id be grateful too.

any help?
