O/E vs Valeo clutch

  mk2 clio 172 ph1
I was quite sure that these two are the same except the Valeo is cheaper to buy since no "Renault" on the box.
But the other day my mechanic managed to confuse me saying there's actually a difference between the two. Saying the O/E part has better durability and is slightly reinforced compared to the Valeo option.

any truth in that?:S

Cheers

have you ever seen at least one of each, new out of the box, to compare?
or just saying 'cause thats common knowledge?

  RS RIP
Mine has a Valeo and it's a 200NM+ torque-y devil going over the torque warranty issued by Renault. No worries

renault dont make the clutches, same as alot of other stuff on cars like ecu's, sensors, brakes, lamp units they just put the cars together, they WILL be the same part
