Does anybody know if it's possible to "port" a o2 pay as you go number to a o2 contract?

I'll probably get a new phone soon (mines a crap windows mobile sh**e) and wondered whether or not they'll allow this, given that the number is already an O2 one....

I guess I could phone them, but I'm feeling especially lazy today!
