Those rats are a fricking nightmare. I thought it was pants at first with the fighting skills, but as you progress, so does your ability and all the jazz. When I got out, I wandered around for about an hour, basically doing f*ck all. Looking at the grass, staring at the stars when nightfall came, and going for a swim.
I got to a horse stable yard and had a chat with the orc who owned it. I then went to see the horses, which were being guarded by some clot with a wooden torch. I tired to steal the white horse, but was caught, so fled. I then returned at night and knocked f*ck out of them both, and that b*****d horse too. Job done. Console switched off.
It seems like a game which could take a while to get anything done.

But yeah, f*cking rats.

lol, the rats are pretty difficult to kill at first, but it gets easier. Best thing to do is once out the sewer there's a little camp with bandits there, just waste the lot for some easy experience and then head off to the main city. Arena is a good place to start too ;)

thank you jesus :) your the saviour of all oblivion kind ;)

im a redguard born under the warrior with skill sof a knight i think i like hitting things :D

hehe, well any help you need you can pm me or MSN me at jonbennis@hotmail.com, I've done pretty much every small side quest and all the bought expansion ones and even though I still have 5 levels on the mages and fighters guild to progress I've surely done nearly all the rest of the quests, there cant be much more than the nearly 400 I have already done... lol

I went for a red guard too, but picked assassin as my class... not the best combination for specialising, but I wanted someone slightly physical still but leaning towards the stealth method. Think I picked the moon one for mine, whichever allows for 60 second invisibility a day anyway. As a hint I recommend that you do the Arena guild first as it's good for gaining XP and you get to kill stuff, the mages guild also, as you only have to do some simple missions before you can use the Arcane University and create your own spells. Invisibility being my personal fav, as I have one that lasts 5 and 10 seconds, one for sneaking around, the other for turning invisible to get behind my foe's and then doing critical damage from behind! :D

The fighters guild is easy..

Buy a good bow and loadsa arrows.. and make sure your ability to jump is half decent.. now when you enter the arean head to the left and you will see a pilar.. double jump up onto that, the enemy cant get you that high so just sit and do ranged attacks with the bow till they are dead.

Great game !

As KDF says, although I never bothered jumping up there, never thought it possible, but eventually I got some chameleon (sp?) armour so my guy is practically invisible, so I just sit in the hallway where the gate opens, sat in stealth mode sniping them for tripple damage... makes life much easier... although once I have almost killed the 3 minitiours I tend to go in for the kill with my trusty sword as you seem to get more money for it :S

Think I saw that somewhere on a DVD I bought from Amsterdam..... ;)

The rats seem a piece of p1ss on the PC version. I wonder if they are more difficult on the 360 version?

D.

possibly down to teh controller with them been small they seem harder to hit quickly so they keep getting damage in

yeah its a wicked game when u get into it, i completed the arena now i got loads of dollar for that, also completed all the fighters guild ones, am grand master and have almost done all mages ones and theives guild. Oh later on in game some guy in a black robe will visit u when u sleep to join a new group. My mistake was getting scared and kiling him (now not possible for me to do those missions which are best in game apparently lol) Its a mint game, if u really get stuck turn down the hardness for a bit but u get less XP. Oh i also havde a unicorn lol. PM for any Q
