Odd keyboard question...

I've recently formatted my hard drive and reinstalled windows, etc from scratch.

Now, for some reason, the @ key comes up as ", and vice versa. Various keys across the keyboard have been inverted in what I assume is the American version. For example, I also have no pound symbol!

What option do I need to change to get the right keyboard settings? I've tried changing various language settings with no success...

Which windows version are you using? (if it's Windows XP)
go into start/settings/control panel

then click(or double click) Regional and Language options icon

change all options to English (United Kingdom)

Cheers, all sorted. I had changed the language settings but hadn't gone into the actual keyboard options...
