Hellooooo,
I made a thread about this a week or so but I didnt really get to much of a response/help from it.
Basicly im driving a 51plate 1.2 16v ph2 Mk2 Clio. I had a new clutch fitted a few months back but kinda since then this happens:
When sat in idle and pulling away my engine revs quite oddly then cuts out, meaning I have to restart the engine, then sometimes on a restart my engine revs oddly. Basically it stalls. My engine management light comes on for a bit, but everytime it sorts itself out and drives fine. It often goes for days without it happening then will happen 4 or 5 times in a short trip round town.
Basically, ive taken it to a small local Renault specialist and they plugged it up to the ECU and nothing came up, they told me to take it back if it happened again. I did so and nothing....again. So off to Renault Steelers. They said they'd charged me £72 just to plug it up! Im waiting until I get paid, but ive been reading up and im quite confused as to what this problem might be. My main worry is that if I get Renault to look at it, they may sort it and the problem may still arise? Any help, ideas, what it might be etc?
