Odyssey 172 rep

Just a few pictures of my 1.6 and how its coming along so far.. Any comments welcome.

mk2 ph2 1.6 dynamique +. With it been the + model it has auto wipers, lights, trip computer, climate control so has its fair share of gadgets.

The car was totally standard when i bought it, next to it was my old 1.2.

I then swapped the standard headlights with my angel eyes from the old car.

I then purchased a rear 172 bumper in monaco blue, luckily the colour match isn't too bad with mine been odyssey blue.

Wind deflectors off ebay and a lucky trip to the scrapyard landed me with colour coded door strips, spoiler and renault sport door sill covers and painted the wheels black.

An rs grille was my next purchase, looks a lot better than the standard grille.

I then got a sniper race can cat back exhaust, with a new stainless steel flexi and de cat pipe.

Coilovers was my next buy, not too low but i think it sits nicely.

Just a few pictures when i was a little bored one day

I then bought the sport front bumper, wings and side skirts which really improve the look of the car.

I also have the sport interior, got a fabia splitter which i will be fitting tomorrow (weather permitting). Purchased some standard 172 alloys today from someone off here so will be fitting them on monday hopefully if they arrive. Looking for some spacers now and maybe a yellow trs tow strap.

Looks really good that. My old 1.4 rep had a monaco back bumper.

Colour match was really close so I just left it!

That car would look 100% better with some xenons or even standard lights.

Angel eyes are horrific in my opinion!

Thanks, yeah its hardly different, if you really look at it you can tell its a different colour but dont think its really worth getting it all re sprayed, yeah i keep playing with the idea of getting some xenons, how much do they go for?

There not as much as they used to be. You could probs sell them angel eyes and use the money and £40 to get some xenons!

going to shop around now, i do prefer the xenons, i never paid for the angel eyes anyway they came on my old car so not too fussed about loosing money on them

keep the wheel silvers or change to anthracite/gun metal grey??

Sorry Jamie, I am not familiar with the colour and it looked like Monaco to be =D

Cheers mate. Yeah I think Monaco and odyssey blue must just be one tinter different because they are very very similar

Hardly any difference at all between odyssey and monaco, i have my monaco parked next to my old odyssey on the drive, look almost identical!

Yeah they do mate. Don't see why Renault decided to change the colour but then hardly change it haha

Yeah its a strange one, because the old ph1 172s came in odyssey IIRC?!
maybe a promotional tool to get people to upgrade? no idea!

Yeah I think they did. Wouldn't be surprised at all if that's why they have done it. Just seen your post on yours. Looks a nice clean example mate. I'm having the same dilemma as you though, do I keep the wheels silver or change to a gun metal grey/anthracite

Its a tough decision, but im swaying towards silver because the just look cleaner and far more subtle, i aim to keep this car fairly standard

Yeah I agree with you on that one, but I have seen a Monaco on standard wheels sprayed gun metal grey and they did look really smart. Suppose I can always change back to silver if I don't like it. I've heard that one before mate, I'm sure you'll be doing your first mod very soon haha

Hi everyone, been a while since i last posted in here so thought i'd share the things ive done since my last post.

refurbed the wheels myself, i did them in 'Kia bright platinum' think its a very nice colour.

Got myself a set of xenons, look a lot better.

Next was a cup soiled, they really do set the back off nicely

Come back from the shop and my mate in his 182 parked infront of me, quick picture

With my mates xr3i. Also added a yellow trs tow strap, not to everyones taste but i think it looks okay.

Just a few random pictures from when i've been out and about

Hope you guys like it, any ideas on what to do next?

I love it! Im 19 and still doing my apprenticeship so i get paid Fu** all! End of this month Im refurbing my wheels to anthracite or maybe the colour you got

Thanks mate. I only work part time still as I'm only just finishing my college course so my wage isn't brilliant either, so little steps at a time. I went into our local point shop and they showed me all their colour swatches and I chose that one, they do look a little darker in person, it's a really nice colour

Looks absolutely amazing! Wish my odyssey looked like that. Get some silvervisions all around and clear side repeaters and you're done (I hate orange )

Probably yeah, chrome indicator bulbs £3 a pair and clear side repeaters will probably be under a tenner, then it'd be complete in my eyes.
