OEM Throttle Body

Basically just over a year ago I was driving along then bang the ecu and engine light came on and I was in limp mode, a guy came to my house cleared the faults. The guy told me there was a problem with the throttle body, so I booked it in at Renault and they said they couldn't find any problems when they took the throttle body off and cleaned it. Anyway about a month ago it happened again this time the guy came to my house cleared the problems again. I drove down the road it went straight back into limp mode. So I took it to Renault again and they told me they would need to change the wiring/piping. It now works but Renault told me they had to 'bypass the loop from a left-hand to a right-hand'. I've been looking all around the throttle body but I can't see any difference would be nice if someone could explain what they have done.
Thanks, Bambi.

You might find there is a wiring harness under the dash (passenger side) that is extended over to the drivers side that has been modified as renaults are designed to be left hand drive.

Yes it is a 1.2 16v, okay but why does it have to be modified surely all the wiring should be converted over when it was made right hand drive? What does this modification change?

It's done on citroen and peugeots basically every driver aid steering, dash and pedals

I understand that the wiring harness needs to be extended to reach over, but having driven it for around a year, before this problem happened why would Renault then need to extend the wiring :s
