Oh dear, had an accident!!!

Oh dear, life in my 172 was all good until I had an accident yesterday! I basically went up some womans ass (Doh!!). So she needs a new back bumper (New Daewoo), cant remember what car exactly!! My bumper might be repairable, but I think Im looking at a new front bumper.

The point of my post is, who on the forum has had to have their 172 bumper replaced? I know for fact that a new 172 front bumper is £200 + spraying + fitting = ??? Just wanted to know how much Im looking at?! I know I should take it to a Renault Repair Centre to get a quote but its not driving very well, and I havent got the cash at the minute to fix it, so has anyone done this before?

Thanks

Not sure the total amount around £2,200, sutin like that. At the moment, Im 20 with 1 yrs NCB. When I renew in November Ill be 20 with 2 yrs NCB, so the insurance should be less harsh then! As you can see I cannot afford to claim! Otherwise I would sell the car!

Mate she may try and sue for whiplash! Go through your insurance or you could be left with a hefty bill!

The funny thing was, she turnt up to know my mum!!! Shes my friends auntie, so she isnt that bothered about it now, happy to go private as long as I pay, which is cool.

Thats well cheap.. Alot cheaper than a Williams then! Im 20 with no NCD.. heh.

mate your gonna look at payin near enough a grand on both cars, soo if ya paing 800 quid excess ur gona be doing the right thing. if ya wana cheep deal i would suggest going to a renault specialist as they prob do a cheaper quote than a renault dealership imo

Im sooooooo jealous of most of you lot. My insurance for a 1.2 is £3.5k, sayin that tho I have had 2 accs and lost 2yrs ncbs in the process.

Unless damages on bith cars are more than "only" bumpers, go to an agreement with the woman.

Had a bit of an accident in a car park with my mk2 172 (gravel, abs kicked in, hit metel barrier) needed new front bumber £350 fitted and sprayed
