oh dear.. sudden dilemma..

  Italian 3.2 V6
..this weekend i am at a cliosport run/meet out and wanted some upgrades done for sunday..

-pay day is wed!!

was planning on spending 300-350 on upgrading brakes n tyres for sunday from stock/budget gear...

..BUT!!!

i hav just been offered a set of second hand mint H&R coilovers.. and i was planning on buying coilovers a couple weeks later..

WHAT TO DO!!!!??? ONE OR THE OTHER, HELP!!

  53 Clio's & counting
If your planning on buying both then it doesnt matter which you buy first mate, get the coilies if they are a good deal

If the good deal is there, Id take that. The brakes and tyres will always be there, and cost the same. That deal will come and go....

  Italian 3.2 V6
well yea thats the thing. if i dont buy the coilovers this week some1 else prob will!

thing is i feel the brakes n tyres will be alot mre benificial fro sunday and from day to day etc :S

Are H&Rs really worth it!?

im swaying to coilovers tbh :S

They're not adjustable, and a lot of people dont rate them for what they are. But then those people are proper track nuts, so they know what they're talking about!
As coilovers go, they are very good, but there are better, but you pay more!

thing is i will hardly track my car... :S more for fast road, fun SAFE B-roading etc is more me.

are they a really hard n harsh ride?

Curently got Eibech sportlines... any harder/worse than them!?

was going to go for Vmaxx coilovers but then these have come along for same price¬?

when i had my H&Rs i found them spot on no harsher than standard imo my car never went on track either. but i do enjoy b roads blasts and they were perfect for that if i had funds i get some more. regret selling mine now ah well

  Mondeo TDCI 130
I set the ride height myself, easy job, and got the camber and toe etc set up at tweeks! for about £50

Loads of people do it though!

Depends how far you go, some people like corner weighting etc, i never bothered and they were fine for road use!!!

  ur megane r26
definately do with the h&r's heard alot of good things about them, such as they transform the car completely, irons out all of the body roll etc

would like R888s but think Pe2s would be better for what i want in driving...

Ah, if you had said T1R's I was going to reccommend an ebay seller (if that's allowed???).

Recently bought 4 and impressed with the guys service, don't know about the tyres yet though, only travelled about 10mile with them on. :)

would love a set of H&R's for my clio, bit expensive but if you're getting them for a good price then why not ey

As for wanting better tyres and brakes for a cliosport meet/run, think its a bit daft as you shouldnt be pushing the car that much to need better tyres and brakes, especially on public roads :p which im sure you're aware of

Get the H&R's set up properly, next pay day get the new tyres and brakes and maybe head out on track to test out all of your new components :)

Any1 have a good local (Carlisle, Cumbria) contact to fit these Properly this fri/sat!?

Means you can fit the cup pack susp, don't know why they gave it different bolt spacing as it gives no benefit. Meh how much do you want for your springs lol ?

I was in carlisle yesterday would have given you a hand :rasp:

Sack coming back up next weekend lol! I driven from Leeds to Edinburgh and back in one weekend. Have had just about enough of driving !

TBH just fit them yourself (Piece of piss) then get somewhere to set them up.

Look forthe lowering guide on here. Its basically the same but you put the coilovers back in instead of struts with new springs...

All you need is a socket set maybe some spanners axle stands and some WD40.
Oh and 4 hours if its your first time
