Hello, i want to do any oil change on my "05" 182.

Does anyone have any picture on where the drainage point and the oil filter is located, as i dont have a clue??????????

thanks in advance

1st off you need to take the plastic tray off from under your engine (4 easy to undo clip things). The 'drainage point' is the sump nut on the sump at the bottom of the engine (best off putting a new sump nut washer on). The oil filter is at the front of the engine, near the top but its a b**ch to get to. Best off removing the fuel rail protector (using a long nose 10mm socket), even then its still tight unless you've got the arms of child.

5 litres of oil will do.

Hope this helps

Just unscrew the round plastic cover for the sump plug , not all the tray ! 4.75 litres of oil for a 182 .

If you don't take all the tray off you're likely to get a nice collection of oil sitting in the tray. When neally all the oil is drained the the oil flow doesn't come through just the sump plug hole!

Changed mine loads of times and never had that problem ! Every drop drained into an old washing up bowl .

Oil filter is a b**ch. I used a screw driver and a hammer and kind of chizzled it off. Made a groove in it and hit it so it twisted anti-clockwise.

When i changed mine i took the air con pipe off with a 10MM spanner and used a filter removal tool and as for the sump there was a little cover witch just uncliped and i used a square bar from a door handle internal mechinisam.

^^^^ nice bit of ingenuity ^^^^

Either that or your a tight git ,lol ;) a couple of quid from halfrauds for the 8mm square sump plug removal tool if you don't have a spare door handle knocking about !

lol Remove the injector shield and there's plenty of space to remove the filter from above. Do it carefully and you wont make any mess.

I took the tray off last time - will probably do the same this time around too. Handy to make sure sure there aren't other bits of Clio lying on the top of your tray....;)

What size washer for the sump plug, do you need again? I bought one last time from Halfords that worked fine. I'll need another now.

Cheers,
D.
