Oil grade for a Willy

Might be dragging up an old thread here, so if I am please excuse (and point me in the right direction).

Anyone know what the correct grade oil should be for a Willy, cant make out whether 5W40 or 10W40 is best - or should I be looking at something else? Aslo can anyone recommend a decent make, think mines had Mobil 1 in it previously (just bought the car 4 weeks ago), was serviced before I got it but need a bit of a top up now.

A top up, you will notise that a lot if you use Mobil 1 as it is very thin, the valver and willy use it like petrol, well maybe not as bad as that.

Mobil 1 is too thin for a car like a Williams, you need at least a 10W in my opinion, personally id recommend a good quality 15W-50 like Silkolene Pro R or Mobil 1 Motorsport, my personal preference being for the Silkolene
