Oil in air filter & on MAP sensor. Problems cutting out & losing power.

My 1.2 16v 03 clio has been losing power and had throttle body replaced twice, new coil pack as weel as other work. The problem persists and has gotten worse lately. It has had trouble starting up and one completely died on a fast road.
I've had enough and checked under the bonnet myself. I cleaned the TDC sensor and checked the MAP and air filter, these were soaked in oil. I'll post some pics up soon but anyone got any ideas? There's a patch of oil on the side of the engine block beside the airbox.

how long is a piece of string, that engine has a million and one problems! the oil thing sounds normal (well it is for that engine!)

Well, after cleaning the MAP sensor and refitting, it runs fine and all warning lights are off.
