OIL LEAK :-(

hi peps, my 172 cup is leaking oil from the head??? it went in 4 the 36k service and they reported back that its leaking oil, they have tightened up all the cam bolts and cleaned it all off so could see if it was still leaking, but i had a check on sat and found more oil down the back of the engine.

they said it will be expensive to fix...do they no something i dont??......or are they just trying to make money out of me? is it worth replacing the gaskets on the head?

help please! :S

it's the rockercover "gasket" that is leaking. Fred mentioned somewhere that it's a 7 hour job to fix.
I say "gasket" because actually there is no gasket on an f4r, I'm not quite sure how it'd be fixed.

i would take it to an independant renault specialist for a second opinion.

yeah could do i have hill power up the road from me! but 7 hrs thats a long time lol
