oil pressure fault

hi my clio 3 1.4 it says oil pressure fault and displays oil light when i rev it whats problem?

My suggestion would be to hope for an easy fix and check the oil pressure sensor and its wiring. I had something simila rin mine. Sometimes it would stay off, but upon revving the light would come on. Have someone rev the car whilst you wiggle the switch/wiring and see if the light goes out. Another "easy fix" would be to check that the sensor itself isnt broken.

I assume these are like the mk2 Clio where oil pressure isn’t monitored below 2200 rpm. Suggest if you checked the oil level etc to try the oil pressure switch.
