The original sensor screws into the back of the T-piece, so you retain the factory sensor. You'd run the secondary feed out the side of the T for the pressure gauge.so the switch default to off in the event of an open circuit? As the wiring for the original oil pressure sensor will just have to dange? unless to bridge the connection maybe?

Looks clean! Where did you get yourself the sandwich plate?right yeh i get you now! sorry i thought you meant replacing the original sensor. I guess the only problem you have is making sure you're not hitting anything else, the pressure transducers are fairly chunky.
I went for the sandwich plate alternative.
