oil selection help please

hi everyone due an oil change soon i no my dci 80 mk2 should run ideally on 5w 50 fully but i just wondered if i can get away with 10w 40?

will it cause any damage at all ? loss of power mpg? i am going to use magnatec and dont do many miles but heard that the turbo benefits from the fully synthetic?

sorry guys meant to say 5w 40 lol its a 2003 52 so ten years old now

you can use either a 5W40 fully syn or a 10W40 semi

cheers guys for your help i decided to go for the 10w 40 and had it done today at my local garage for 36.00 all in couldnt believe how the car ran so much better with some clean life fluid lol thanks again
