getting my current block bore'd and just woundering whats peoples opinions on removing them completely?

will the fling from the crank be enough to cool the underside of the pistons?

would removing them help with oil pressure?

car's mainly used solely for track and will have a fully forged bottom end with a redline of 8k.

Hi Carl,

What is the point in removing them if they dont cause a problem and help the engine not to seize?

Personally ide definatly leave them there..

if you're re-boring you'll have to remove them, and you're unlikely to get them out un-damaged so new ones is a good idea. Downgrading to no squirters is a silly idea, and yes i've heard all the theories about better oil pressure etc. if you want more pressure, upgrade the pressure relief spring

I'd say you'd be mad to remove them. That's interesting what dan says about pressure releif valve springs. I assume you could pop a little shim under it also.

77 00 109 893 JET OIL PUMP C2 11.63

Need two of each as they're directional and go 1.892 2.893 3.892 4.893 in the block, they're press fit and the renault procedure for removal/refitting requires several special tools unsurprisingly.
