Oil usage

My engine has done 96k. Typically, how much oil would be burned over 1000 miles?

Renault allow a maximum of 500ml every 1000miles. Anything more and there is a problem. The fact that it uses oil though is perfectly normal.

Mine uses about 500ml at most between oil changes (3K miles) and its on 55K.
