I've just noticed I've ordered the wrong oil! I've got 5 litres of 5w30 doh!.

Do Renault dealers carry Elf Evolution 5w40? or do they have to order it in?.

I'd guess at them stocking it, you never know with Renault though!

My local dealer carries it in stock.
It is the "standard" replacement oil for all Renaultsports.
About £8.50 per litre + VAT.

Yeah I need a 5 litre bottle though!. I'll have to ring them in the morning.

Just check the website mate, you will find that TOTAL and ELF are exactly the same oil.

I think it is the TOTAL Quartz 9000 that it the same - worth checking, you can get hold of it in any TOTAL garage and the grade is 5w40 and it is fully synthetic of course.

Cool, thanks. I should imagine renault carry elf oils since they recommend them on their vehicles. If all else fails though I'll get this total stuff.

My car is due a cheeky oil change, whats the standard stuff like?
I believe in the best oils no matter what, I was temped to buy the millers stuff you can get on Opie site?
Is the standard 5w-40 is it?

Total and Elf are the same, Renault staff now have Total on their shirts, they're trying to get rid of Elf to make one brand (Total) for all french cars.
