old airfields near sussex

does anyone know of any old airfeilds in not too bad a state near or in sussex ?

b.t.w there is one norfolk/suffok border where i first ever drove a car (merc I6 24v , and i put it in a little pothole at 80, which felt like a creater - he wasnt impressed LoL)

it is in (Eye in suffolk) which was great for having a play around and no involvement from the boys in blue, as long as you dissapear after 1/2 hour or so..............

Yes - an old school friend owns Ford Market Airfield. used to race his cart on it.

We used to use Tangmere, not any more

There is always North Weald - I think you can hire it?
