I enjoyed it for the memories but didn’t spend that long with it. Red Alert is where my heart really is!

i am hoping the remastered version will make it playable...lol

I think I said similar in another post - but I genuinely don't recall the AI path finding to be as terrible as it is in this. Your troops are STUPID! 😄

iirc you jsut press spacebar or something in game. it swaps it out in real time LOL

Spot on, when it started i thought Jesus Christ, is that the upgraded version, just looked like splodges on the screen... , pressed the space and voila, HD graphics.

You were also right, the units basically do what they want, click on 5 men to attack something, 3 of them attack and the other 2 wonder off in the wrong direction... .

Don't get me wrong, i am enjoying it, its fun and tons of nostalgia when playing it, but i can't being a long term investment in man hours...

I think it might be on the megadrive classic that got released a couple of years ago……..that I’ve still not played 🤦‍♂️

That game was brilliant back in the day though.

HL:2 20th anniversary documentary, really interesting

The other thing that HL:2 did was usher in the Steam era, so it’s not only a legendary game it was also pivotal in changing the whole distribution model.
