Old style top mount spacers and nuts

  BG 182 FF
Can anyone still get hold of the old style top mount spacers and separate nuts?

I'm having the same issue others have had with the new style combined nut/spacer causing horrific knocking and also coming loose on regular occasions even though they have been torqued right up.

Bloody things!

If it's any help, I recently bought some genuine ones that came with a separate nut, had to fit spacers too.

I think the problm with the new style spacers is they are not pushing down on the bearing and holding it in place before the lock down as far as they can go against the strut.

I guess the other option would be to use a washer or fabricate my own spacers and nuts.

It's doing my bloody head in rattling away I know that much.

I can find the part numbers of the parts if that's any help?

Daft question, but the bearing is in the right way??

Yeah it's all installed correctly and I've had them apart a couple of times to resolve. There's a thread somewhere where someone else had the same issue and was only able to resolve it by changing the spacers to the old design. It worth a try that's for sure.

The new design is poor at best IMHO.

The ones I fitted last month that didn't have spacers were;

R54 3A 097 80R 21705F. Set susp stop. £66.50 plus delivery

Call Renault Wolverhampton on 01902 439267. And speak to Adam, sure he'll get one of the shelf if you want to make sure it's what you want.
