Omex Mapping/Costs.

  Cooksport Fleet
There may be a thread about this already, but i couldnt find it.

The car has a second hand k-tec ITB kit on it. The previous car which had the kit, was live mapped at interpro (near bristol).

I know this is a difficult question to give an accurate answer for, but how much roughly will it cost to get the ecu live mapped once again to another engine?

How is cost worked out? per hour?

How long (est.) will it take?

Just trying to figure out how much will be needed!

Thanks

full re-map, somewhere in the region of £400-£550 depending on set up etc. Tour-de-force is where my money would be, his work is top notch!!

I don't understand the sudden push for Tour-de-force - no evidence of work on members cars and a massive over-hyped TLA ridden project that no one understood that then evaporated over night? Even I was looking forward too something interesting and well engineered :(

He's a genius tbh. His track record speaks for itself.

Not been on CS for a while as I'm buried in work but had text a few mins ago telling me to look in. I'd just like to say a big thanks to all who have recommended TDF and our work. It really makes me smile to hear us being 'given the nod'. I'm not a CS trader or similar so I won't plug us with prices etc. but suffice to say I take great pride in the work we do and am over the moon that people are liking it! As a lot of you know I love what we do but to hear that others are as well makes it all the better.

TDF has been trading for six months now and we've had an amazing response to our services both road car orientated and the pro-motorsport stuff that I have traditionaly been involved in. Just to make it clear in case anyone is wondering exactly what it is we do TDF specialises in engine control and calibration with associated data systems and wiring loom design primarily for the motorsport market. We don't have general garage services, performance parts or similar so certainly aren't direct competition for K-Tec, JMS, BTM or similar - we do ECUs and leccy bits ;)

Thanks again guys - makes me feel guilty for being on here so little in the past few months! I promise I'll be around more in future - in the mean time here's some BWAAAAAP to keep you entertained ;)

Fred "13 big mac meals, 10 drinks to spill, 4 large fries for warren to eat cold"

f**k off enrique iirc.

That sounds f**king ace! What's in it??

Love the little nod "alright" at about 40 seconds lol

It's a Cosworth Racing built Jaguar AJV6 on port throttles (throttle bodies) running a Pectel T6 ECU with Stack driver display and logging. It weighs about 800 kilos and has a serious aero package. It's a glorious little thing! We monitor engine wear/health and performance drop off during engine life span on a couple of them. They're a personal favourite of mine ;)

Thanks :D It came from an article in Race Car Engineering about a project I was involved in a few years ago.

The CR built AJV6s are really revy, they have a mega light flywheel and clutch and the engine has quite a bit less friction than the road going version. Even the corporate spec JP1's are mega good fun, the customer spec cars are something else!
