on-board computer & steering wheel controls

just got my 51 plate clio 172 yesterday and had a couple of queries. it has a non standard cd player and as such the steering wheel controls dont work with it. further im guessing these control the on board computer, which i cant seem to get to work either. any ideas?

The on board computer is on the end of the wiper stalk. U can buy connectors for the steering wheel controls and aftermarket head units iirc!

where will i get a connector from and is it easy to fit myself? thanks

depending on what head unit it is, I know Alpine and Kenwood make them but they only work with the newer head units.

The lead is pretty simple to fit. The Trip computer is oporated by the button on the end of the wiper stalk.

its a panasonic head unit but i dont know how old it is as it came with the car! got the trip computer people!
another question, i have a slight buzz coming from the speaker next to my light when i turn on the battery or engine, even if the radio is off. any ideas? thanks

No idea, the engine bay of my 1.2 buzzes but never noticed the speakers buzzing!

You sure its not coming from the interier light area? If so, its normal.

Its the recirculation motor for the climate control.
