one problem to the next :(

  Clio 182
got my new 182 on friday woop woop a day later the problems started

coolent temp sensor was fudged and the temp gauge was doing that werid thing anyway changed that and it stoped the car cutting out etc

then the lambada sensor went mental and stoped working and was causing the car to misfire somthing conric, now i have just replaced that and the misfire had stopped

however now the car feels slggish when trying to accelerate and is very poor below 2k revs but then picks up

and now the ecu had registed a misfire in master cylinder 2 tonight this is a new problem

there is small leak in the exhaust system but im wondering if the coolent temp sensor and lambada problems have fudged up the cat?? is there any way to check this and if so would it cause poor perfomance and slow pick up and fllat spotting etc

i have had a look on the prvious MOT on line and it failed the emissions test for the last three years the first time thenthey have manged to get it through the seond time

any ideas would be most gratefull

regards

defo time for a new exhaust as its rotting away

Disconnect the cat at the front (between down pipe and cat) and start it up. (it will be very loud!)

If it revs freely then you know the cat is fudged.

Personally, i'd get a decat and a new exhaust system. The renault ones are gubbins.

i will give that a shot unless the cat and exhaust fall apart in the process lol, i dont want a decat cannot be arsed with all the hassle come mot time nor do i want a loud exhaust

It doesn't need to be loud.

And most MOT stations will mot a car with no cat for an a small fee. ;)
