One-touch drivers electric window fix

  LY R26, LY 182
Right, not sure whether this was coincidence but it seems to have fixed a small issue that was confusing me with the 182... Car is a 2005 model.

It didn't seem to have one-touch windows, which I thought was mad for a car of this age - I was having to hold the button all the way to open and close... the following fixes this if yours is playing up or doesn't seem to have one-touch facility:

1/ Switch ingition (engine) on
2/ Lower window
3/ Raise window to the top AND
4/ Hold switch open for more than 2 seconds
5/ Lower window to the bottom AND
6/ Hold switch open for more than 2 seconds

Motors initialised - Job done. :D

Car now has one touch window for the drivers side. Just flick the button (not a dual stage stitch like others) up or down and the window rolls the whole way.

I'm sat in my car trying this now, I must have tried 5 times and can't get it to work, anyone got it working?

  172 ph2
works for me, ph2 172... but needs doing far too frequently - seems to loose itself every couple of days and stops working.

What is the aim of this, to re calibrate an old one touch window not functioning?

Or can you use it to make the passenger window one touch as well? i had a quick try out of interest and it did nothing, thought id try before i asked aha.

1) Engine needs to be running AFAIK... mine won't one touch with just the ignition on.
2) If you hold the button down it will stop when you release it... the one touch needs a quick press and release to operate.
3) Only works on the driver's side window, not the passenger one I think.

I used to work for Vauxhall an this is the exact way you do the windows in thir cars, tried it on my Clio when I changed the motor on the off chance I worked an it came up trumps. Deffo a work for me :)

Sorry to drag up and old thread... Does anyone have an alternative solution. I've tried the above on the drivers side of my new Clio 200 Cup but with no joy (engine was running). Really rather irritating when I have to wind my window down to wave my pass at the electronic gate at work..

Edit: after opening and closing about 30 times I got it to do it. Nothing clever, I just discovered the need to press the button a bit harder to get to the second switch mode... Possibly useful info for anyone else treating their new toy with kid-gloves.
