V6 255, 172's, JCW,
Untill very recently i had one of these. I beleive only 172 were imported into the UK. They have some in France too im told, 172 probably. They didnt come wiyh a "sports handling pack" from new tho. Ive seen an 02 reg one in London, according to a local Renault dealer to me there were a few left unsold for a while, this must be one of them.
originally (not knowing much about the 172) i read there was 350 of the cars, then learnt there was 172 here, so i assume its 350 in the world, 172 lhd, 172 (173?) rhd.
still think theyre the best looking out of all the 172/182s. saw mine on its own in a car park at donington yesterday and fell in love all over again.

"At then end of the run, Renault built 172 limited edition cars, labelled the Clio RENAULTsport 172 Exclusive.

Only 172 were imported into the UK.. But there are many more in Europe, that are numbered from 173 upwards..
The highest I have seen is No 435
