Only had my car a week- boot wont open!!

AAAhh!!!

I am so annoyed! iv had my new car a week today (02 1.2 dynamique), and went to open the boot this afternoon and it wouldnt budge!!

after taking out the rear seats and all the plastic surroundings, there is a small metal bar that links the catch to the button, but i couldnt get it to fit back on as i think the bar maybe bent.

has anybody ever had any problems with this before, any ideas how much ££ it would cost to fix??

oh and no it isnt covered under a warranty!!

errr what happens when u press the boot button then? will the button not go in?

u sure its unlocked? lol does the boot lock "clunk" when u lock/unlock it?

never heard of this happening before tbh

lol, yeah its unlocked mate!!

basically you press the button, it goes all the way in...and the boot wont budge!!

from what i can see (and im no expert) the small bar has come of the 2 latches, but there is no way of getting at it to get the latch back on!

take the button/handle unit off and u should be able to get to it all
