I'd pretty much bet that they lost it coming over the bump just before entry into the left hander (schwedenkreuz) on the straight section (flugplatz). It's one of the fastest sections of the circuit with proper cars pulling 170+. In the clio I'm pulling a measly 135+, so if the Meg driver was on the pace I'd expect his speed to be 145+.
The driver was ok according to reports. Lucky. Very lucky.
