If you are looking at an engine £500 if you fit it yourself. If you find someone stupid like me you may get an engine cheaper. I sold a mint one with cambelt done etc for £400

I thought this, then thought Pedobear sticker on headlights. Its the indicators flashing by looks of things.

Spot on, the hazards were on and the shot just happened to catch them mid flash.

Since found out that it was the fan belt broke and has jammed the timing belt/cogs prob gonna end out the same money but my fingers r crossed.

ive bought my 172 phase 1 with a slipped timing belt.
for the price ive payed for it, it doesnt matter if i have to rebuild the whole engine. ohh yeah.... and upgrade a few things

seen them a few times but not sure if theyre standard renault parts,

Its a thick film called lamin-x ... http://www.lamin-x.co.uk/ Went on no bother and imo looks quite well

Keep the head up mate all you need is a block, and its plug and play. Sourcing the parts won't be too bad and sticking it in wont take long.
Im sure i'll know of engines in our side of the country

Its not all bad I have this in the drive atm The only downside is that its went through £80 in 48 hrs

As it stands I need all 16 valves and a head cylinder so im gonna try and source them myself and pay for the labour seperate.

Anyone any idea what region of money I should be paying ? Is it cheaper/wiser looking for a full engine ?
